ALTON DAY ALTMAN
The funeral for Alton Day Altman of Centerville, an employee of District 3, Charleston County Maintenance Department, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Stuhr's Downtown Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Altman died Wednesday. (March 19, 1980)

Mr. Altman was born Dec. 6, 1918, at Johnsonville, a son of the late Jerome Altman and Mrs. Maude C. Altman. He was a member of James Island Baptist Church.

Surviving are: his widow, Mrs. Mable Hartley Altman of Charleston; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Altman Self of James Island; a son, Larry Altman of Savannah, Ga.; four brothers, Joseph Altman of Gastonia, NC, Dale Altman an A.J. Altman, both of Johnsonville, and Pete Altman of Pinopolis; four sisters, Mrs. Olive Miles of Lake City, Mrs. Adalee Altman and Mrs. Beulah Steadman, both of Hialeah, Fl., and Mrs. Neata Murphy of Belmont NC; three grandchildren (Shannon Day Altman, Kimberly Ann Altman and Tami Lynn Hicks).
