Nicole Ashley King was born on May 25, 1995 in Elgin, Ill. to Joseph Michael Lang and Christina King.

She has lived in Katy for over three years and was very active in her community. She was a freshman at Katy High School, where she was involved in many organizations such as student council, Best Buddies, P.O.W.E.R. role model, softball, volleyball, basketball, etc. Nicole was also an active member of Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church in Katy, where she was involved with the youth groups, missions and Mercy Crew Board.

Nicole Ashley King passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010 at the age of 14 years.

She is survived by her mother, Christina Brown; father, Joseph Lang; father, Christopher Brown; brothers, Scott King, David King and Alex Lang; sisters, Yvonne King, Alyssa King and Alicia Lang; grandparents, Jim Brown, Mae King, Raymond and Terri Lang; as well as other loving family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel in Katy. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church in Katy with Rev. Msgr. Jack M. Dinkins, Celebrant. Interment in Katy Magnolia Cemetery.
