Maurice S. Dry, 88, of Odessa and formerly of Eastland, died Friday in an Odessa hospital.
Mr. Dry was born in Comyn in Comanche County and grew up in De Leon. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a retired game warden of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. He moved to Odessa in 1984. He was a 50-year member of the Eastland Masonic Lodge and also was a member of Key City Campers Association and Eastland First United Methodist Church. He was the widower of Nova Merle Robinett Dry.
Survivors include two sons, William C. Dry of Odessa and Eddie M. Dry of Albuquerque, N.M.; three brothers, Carl Dry of Fort Worth, William L. Dry of Odessa and Limon S. Dry of Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister, Annie L. Hall of Denton; and two grandchildren.
