Owen M. Grammer, son of Geo. L. H. Grammer, of Philadelphia, died at the Presbyterian Hospital, West Phila., on Sunday morning, Aug. 30th, 1896. He was an inmate of the Hospital for 14 months, and suffered greatly during that period with "Tubercular caries," a disease of the spine, resulting from an injury rewived in a fall from a building 5 years ago. He was born in Lancaster connty. Pa., Nov. 19th, 1865, taught school in Adams county, Pa., was a graduate of Shippensburg Normal School, class of '88, and at the time of his failing health was Principal of the Summit Hill School, of Carbon county, Pa. He will be buried in Greenmount Cemetery at Arendtsville, Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 2nd.
