Funeral services for Mr. J. W. Pritchett, age 82, of Kennedy, were held Saturday, Mar 20, 2010, at 2 p m from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Scott Montgomery and the Rev. Carlos Dean officiated.
Mr Pritchett was born Feb 10, 1928. He died March 17 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Oma Pritchett; sisters, Ruby Nell Holliman, Inez Owens and Evelyn Kizzire; brother James Pritchett.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Pritchett; son Mike (Amy) Pritchett; sister Opal Terry; two grandchildren; Gwendolyn and Anthony Pritchett.
Pallbearers were Eric Holliman, Lynn Wilson, Elmer Watkins, Charles Rainey, Ray Watkins and Doyle Simmons.
