Imogene Ray of Gatesville died April 28 in Copperas Cove. She was 95. Funeral services were held Saturday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West with Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating.
Mrs.Ray was born Oct. 20, 1903,to the late E.H. Carpenter and Stella Carpenter. On April 23, 1921, she married Ramon S. Ray. He preceded her in death on Dec.12,1985. She lived most of her life in West and Gatesville. She was a homemaker.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Harmon, Harry and Horace Carpenter; two sons, R.S Ray Jr. and Edwin C. Ray; and one daughter, Billie Jean Marshall.
Survivors include one daughter, Stella Bougainvillaea
of Gatesville; two sisters, Fran Coleman of Monahans
and Tola Maxwell of Fort Worth; and numerous grandchildren,
great-grandchildren and great-great-children, nieces and nephews.
