BEVERLY - Elizabeth "Betty" (Richardson) Hardwick, 77, of Marblehead, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002 in Beverly Hospital. She was the wife of the late Donald Hardwick.
Born in Beverly on July 11, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Brierley) Richardson. She graduated from Beverly High School.
Mrs. Hardwick worked for more than 22 years as a certified nurse's assistant at the Devereux House in Marblehead until she retired in 1985.
She was the mother of Phyllis Scanzani Smith of Ipswich, Judith Gaudet-Ortiz of Salem, and the late John Paul Morency. She was the sister of Ellen Mahalares of Peabody, the late John Richardson, and the late Joseph Richardson.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
