Claude Belt, 66, of Marion, died Aug. 8 at Salem Springlake Care Center. He attended Hurricane Methodist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Henshaw and Pat Tolley, both of Lola, and Cindy Johnson of Morganfield; a son, Keith Belt of Wadesville, Ind.; two brothers, Percy Belt and Ed Belt, both of Marion; two sisters, Catherine Newcom of Benton and Bernice Woodall of Evansville; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Belt; and eight brothers, Roland Belt, Phillip Belt, Winfred Belt, Charles "Snap" Belt, Miles Lee Belt, Jimmy Belt, Morris Belt and Jerry Belt.

Funeral services were held Aug. 11 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips and Bro. Jimmy Porter officiating. Burial was in Hurricane Cemetery.
