Funeral services for Mr. Homer Wayne Wyble, known to many as "Wayne," age 71, were held in Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas. Interment followed in Bellevue Memorial Park. He passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at his residence in Opelousas.

To those who knew him, his humility, good reputation, "words of wisdom" and kindnesses proceed him. Those who did not know him missed so much.

Wayne's jobs consisted of Wyble's JP4 Ranch, Fred J. Wyble Oilfield Construction, Opelousas Concrete, Offshore Processing Service, Little Teche Farms, Farm Power and Fakouri Plumbing. His family's We 7 Angus Farm was his passion.

After graduation from the Academy of the Immaculate Conception in 1955, he attended LSU where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science.
Leadership abilities of Wayne were realized when he served on Boards such as: the American Angus Assn. Board where he served as Treasurer and Vice President, Certified Angus Beef Board, LA Angus Assn. President, LSU Junior Division Advisory Board, Acadiana Livestock Show Governing Board, St. Landry Livestock Show and Belmont Academy Board.

He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Bonnie Baquet Wyble; five children, thirteen grandchildren, one brother, and two sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred J. Wyble and Beulah Carriere Wyble; and one sister, Amaryllis Ann Wyble.
