ELYRIA — Eunice Fortune 71 of Elyria made preparation on March 12, 2010 to move to her eternal home, she passed away at EMH Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Fortune was an Educator for Lorain County Schools and graduating from Elyria High School and the University of Akron with a degree in Education. She was a member of the Macedonia Church of God In Christ of Elyria where she served as the church usher, Sunday School Teacher and also worked with the youth. She enjoyed working in her flower garden.
She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Rhugin Fortune of Elyria, Sisters, Armenia Marie Washington, Betty Newton and Eleanor Lynch both of Elyria, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Andrew Fortune and a niece.
Friends may call Friday March 19, 2010 at 11am until time of service at 12 noon in the Macedonia Church of God in Christ 233 Bell Ave. Elyria. Dr. Curtis Daniel Pastor and Elder Steven Newton will officiate. Burial to follow in Brookdale Cemetery.Online condolences can be sent to [email protected]
