Sue Lyons, 63, of Bevil Oaks died Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth. She was born February 6, 1947, in Beaumont, Texas to Anthony and Sadie Green Venza. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a homemaker who loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy Lyons of Bevil Oaks; son, Robert Lyons and his wife Jennifer of Bevil Oaks; grandchildren, Justin and Matthew Lyons; brothers, John Venza and his wife Priscilla of Beaumont and Anthony Venza and his wife Sharon of Austin; brother-in-law, Randy Lyons of Beaumont; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ronnie Venza.

Her funeral service will be 10m Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will be Friday, March 26, 2010, from 5 until 7pm at Broussard's.

Sue was also an avid genealogist and had just become a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.
