Kenneth W Liggett, 81 of Aledo passed way at Mercer Co Hospital. Private services were held of Tuesday March 3 at Jinks Family Funeral Services in Aledo. Memorials may be left to Shriners Children's Hospital, Chicago. Kenneth was born Feb 21,1917 in Warren Co, IL, the son of Walter E Liggett and Alice P McIntyre Liggett. He attended rural Mercer Co schools and Broadview Academy near Chicago. He married Doris Gowan in 1938 in IN. He married Violet Bigham, Jan 24, 1949 in Peoria. (a very story is included in the obit, see McIntyre file for contents) He is survived by his wife, two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth R and Charlotte Liggett, Lincoln, NE and Greg and Dory Liggett, Clinton, MS; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Eldin Ehrlich, Lincoln NE and Kandice and Randy Dehle, Aledo. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Kortney and Kenzie Harrison, Aledo and Alexandria, Kyle and Jennifer Liggett, Clinton MS and one step-granddaughter Crystal Dehle, Galesburg. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister Vera Damewood and an infant brother, Oren Liggett.
