"Ruth Bateman Beck "Together Again" Our beloved, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Ruth Bateman Beck, 91, passed away March 20, 2010 in River Heights, Utah Born April 26, 1918 in Bern, Idaho to Alberto Wilber Bateman and Sophie Olive Kunz Bateman. She married the love of her life Raymond S. Beck on June 30, 1939; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Survived by one son, Raymond A. (Margaret) Beck, River Heights, Utah; six grandsons: Anthony Beck, Fairview, Idaho; Michael (Terri) Beck, Logan, Utah; Shane (Anne-Marie) Beck, Herriman, Utah; Jeremy (Jailyn) Beck, Herriman, Utah; Casey (Amanda) Beck, Providence, Utah; and Mark Beck, River Heights, Utah; one brother, Duane (JoAnn) Bateman, Salt Lake City; two sisters, Dawn (Earl) Brown, Sandy, Utah; and Joyce (Robert) Burkinshaw, Midvale, Utah; seven great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces whom she loved with all her heart and soul. Ruth was preceded in death by a son, Monte, her loving husband Ray, her parents, and three sisters. Active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many church callings. When she could no longer get out, she cherished the young men from the River Heights Third Ward that brought the Sacrament to her each Sunday. She loved spending time with her family, doing crossword and word search puzzles, watching her favorite cooking show on TV, and especially Lawrence Welk reruns, General Conference and church Broadcasts. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 26, 2010 at 12:00 noon at the River Heights Third Ward, 464 North 300 East, Providence, Utah. Friends may call Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be at the Lake Hills Memorial Cemetery, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah.
