She was born November 13, 1933, in Elmore City, Oklahoma.Judy was the 10th of twelve children born to George and Ethel (Duncan) Carlton.
She graduated from Elmore City High School in 1952. May of 1952, she married Emmett Barnes. They lived in the Roady Community. Together they had two sons, Emmett Jay and Steve Ray. Emmett Sr. passed away on August 25, 1963 following an oilfield accident. Judy and the boys moved to Moore in 1967. One of the first friends she made there is Kay Monroe. They were many things to each other. Always relying on the other to "BE THERE" always shopping, eating, walking and talking and talking. Kay is like family to many of us who know, love and appreciate all she did for and with Judy. A true friend indeed!
Judy married O. P. Williams in 1974, he passed away on November 15, 2010. Others preceding her in death, her parents, brothers, Wilburn, A. C. "Dinger" and Roy Carlton. Sisters, Lethe Coe, Zettie Westreicher, Ruth Taylor Dobbins and Frances Taylor.
Surviving Judy are her sons: Emmett and wife Beverly of Atlanta, Georgia, Steve and wife Mary of Elmore City, Oklahoma. Two step-sons: Terry and Lynn Williams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Four granddaughters: Kellie, Julia, Candace and Beki, One grandson: Beau,One step-granddaughter: Lisa,Six Great-grandchildren: Sean, Aiden, Owen, Rebecca, Stella and Ezra, One brother: George and wife Lou of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Three sisters: Roxie Dean of Blue Ridge, Texas, Emily Lynn of Elmore City, Oklahoma, Hazel Clark and husband Jerry of Tulsa, Oklahoma
Many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Judy was a long time member of the Eastern Avenue Baptist Church in Moore. She was a special lady, loving mother and sister. Will truly be missed by all who loved her.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, April 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Goins officiating. Interment will be in the Katie Cemetery.
