FUNERAL OF PRIVATE CLYDE FRANTZ
Clyde Peercival Frantz, farm laborer, of R.D. No. 3, Saegartown, PS. Crawford County.
Funeral services in memory of Private Clyde P Frantz were held at the grave in the Venango cemetery on Monday morning at 10:30 conducted by Rev. C.L. Reed of the Presbytarian Church of Venango, and a large number of relatives of the decessed acted as bearers and the many floral offerings were beautiful.
Clyde Frantz, 26, was one of the thousands of young Americans who gave their lives for the cause of their country overseas. His body was recently brought home for burial, so that he might sleep at the last amid scenes familiar to his boyhood and young manhood, and where the friends he loved best of all may visit his last reting place and lay flowers there in his memory.

Clyde died in 1918 on board a ship while crossing the Atlantic during World War I.
