JOHN S. COBLE DIES NOV. 22
John Samuel Coble, 73, pioneer of the Kittitus Valley and a well-known Ellensburg brick mason for many years, died at Coupeville last Friday. He had lived at Coupeville for the past two years.
He was born in Servia, Indiana, August 23, 1867, and came to the Kittitas Valley with his parents, Mr. and Mrs Daniel Coble, in the fall of 1884. He was married here to Ida Wheaton on October 22, 1891. Two children, Myrtle and Ernest, were born to them and in 1916 he adopted a daughter, Florence.
Two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Hundley of Vancouver and Mrs. Florence Taylor of Coupeville; a grandson, Ralph Curtin of Seattle; a granddaughter, Betty Jane Coble of Portland; great gradson Roger Curtin, and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Sackett and Mrs. Maude Hall, both of Ellensburg, survive him.
Funeral services were held at the Honeycutt Chapel Monday afternoon. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cenmetery.
