Commodore Perry Hatcher and Sarah Ann Tener Hatcher

Commodore Hatcher was born in Virginia around 1817. He and his family were living in Union Twp. in 1860. He died 15 Sept. 1888. He was 71 years old and died of heart disease. He was a gunsmith. His wife, Sarah Ann Tener was born around 1820, born Virginia and died 18 June, 1894. Her obituary lists Maryland as place of birth. Their children, from the Morgan Hatcher Bible:

Josiah born 3 Dec. 1838, married Sarah E. (1843-1927), had daughters Mary and Sarah, lived Wayne Twp. 1870.

Jeremiah, born 9 Feb. 1841 married Mary A. (1847-), had one son Orville D., lived in Wayne Twp., 1870.

David born 15 Feb. 1843 living with sister Mary E. 1880 Goshen Twp.

Sarah Rebecca born 12 March, 1845, no more information. (But see the memorial linked below for more.)

Mary E. born 27 Feb. 1847, married Thomas Perkins, 2nd marriage to A. Carpenter, had 2 daughters, Lona E. and Josie Mae.

Zachory Taylor born 21 June, 1849 married Mariah (1855-), lived in Wayne Twp. in 1900.

Amanda E. born 1 Oct. 1851, no more information. (Another find-a-grave member sent the following.) Amanda Ella Hatcher was born 2 Sept 1852 in Ohio. She married Rolandus Clinton Chandler in Belmont, Ohio, March 15, 1880, and died 13 January 1932.

John born 6 Oct. 1853. No more information

William born 7 Oct. 1856, married Mary White (1858-1934), and died 1952.

Daniel Morgan born 13 Oct. 1858, married Sarah Elizabeth Gatten (1867-1953) Morgan died 1930. They were parents of Phillissa, Roy and Dorsey Hatcher.

Thomas Jefferson born 4 Feb. 1861, married Mary Jane Wilson (1864-1945) daughter of Ira and Marie Lamp Wilson, parents of Foresta, Luther, Ethyl, Oscar, Lewis, Mary, Mabel and Bessie.

Stephen Douglass born 15 Oct. 1864 married Addie Alice Wilson (1871-1955) Doug died 1955. Parents of Harvey D. , Irvie, Jessie J. Ima B. Alta, and Ernest Hatcher.
