The deceased was born in Greenfield Nov. 1 1887, son of Stephen and Samira (Runyon) Strong. He was married Oct. 7, 1908 in Jennings County to the former Lura Sample. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and for 43 years was an employee of the Nichol Plate Railroad.
Survivors include the wife two sons, George G. Strong, of Tipton and Alvin D. Strong, of Charlestown, Massachusetts; brothers, Grover L. Strong, of Maryland; Harold Strong and Cecil Strong, of California; and a sister Cynthia Rode, also of California.
