Pvt Joseph M. Breach enlisted as a Union Soldier during the Civil War. He served in Co C, 6th Indiana Infantry from 20 August 1861 to 22 September 1864.

Joseph Morton Breech 84, died at his home in the Reagan Valley Community of Jack County, Texas. Services were held at the Methodist Church officiated by Rev. S.P. Farler. Graveside services were held by the Odd Fellows Lodge.
Joseph Morton Breech was a veteran of the Civil War were he served for more than four years with the Union troops. He was a successful farmer and was active until his retirement several years ago.Survived by five sons - E.A. Breech, Jess Breech, W.H. Breech, J.E. Breech, Grant Breech; one daughter - Mrs. D.W.
