He was a soldier and fought in the American Revolution from 1776 to 1783. He enlisted December 9, 1776 for the town of Cambridge. He served as a private under Captain John Walton in the Cambridge Company, Middlesex County Militia in 1776, and under Captain Joseph Williams, Capt. Abraham Watson, and Capt. Simon Jackson in Col. John Greaton's Regiment of the Continental Army from 1776 to 1783. He was furloughed June 8, 1783 at New Windsor.Age 66 yrs.
