Patricia Vivian Evitt Bunn, age 62, of 45100 Byrd Road in Albemarle, NC, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC.
Her family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5 PM to 8 PM and her funeral will be at 11 AM on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Anderson Grove Baptist Church in Albemarle, NC where she was a member. Rev. Ron Honeycutt will officiate and burial will be in Anderson Grove Baptist Church's cemetery.
Born November 25, 1947 in Lake City, FL, Mrs. Bunn was the daughter of the late Edgar Evitt and Mary Holt Evitt and was a registered nurse in the ER at First Health Montgomery Memorial Hospital in Troy, NC.
She was a true Christian and true Patriot. She had been to Washington, DC four times in the last six months. She loved her grandchildren – they were her life! She cared about others more than herself.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Allen Bunn; one son: Jason E. Washburn and wife Chassity of Oakboro, NC; one daughter: Ellie Washburn Smith and husband Chad of Oakboro, NC; and five grandchildren: Zach Washburn, Hannah Washburn, Dawson Smith, Carson Smith, and Mylee Smith. One sister, Ida Simpson, preceded her in death.
