George W. Robson, Carlisle Township clerk 35 years, died in his home 1534 Grafton Road, yesterday afternoon. He had been ill for the past 14 months.
Mr. Robson, 70, retired as clerk last year. He was also employed as a miller for Landmark, Lorain County Farm Bureau.
Born in Carlisle Township, July 11, 1900, he was a life-long resident. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Men's Club of the church and Farm Bureau Council 3-A. He was past patron of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of King Solomon Masonic Lodge, Marshall Chapter.
Surviving are his wife, Genevieve E. (nee Garrett), one son William E., Fairview Park; a brother, Philip C., Carlisle Township.
Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Sudro-Curtis Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Charles W. Hamilton will officiate and the burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home this evening 8 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
