Noble, William Alvin Retired from Cajun Electric and employed with Baton Rouge Machine Works, he died at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at his home in East Baton Rouge Parish. He was 54 and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the 2nd Training Brigade, 3rd Battalion Co. D at Fort Polk and Air Calvary Troop 11th ACR at Fort Benning, Ga. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, April 1, after 9 a.m. Saturday, April 2. Religious service in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Ted Wells and the Rev. Ted Long. Burial in Beech Ridge Cemetery, Denham Springs. He is survived by his wife, Lee Brown Noble; mother and stepfather, Iris G. and Richard Williamson; daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica Faye Noble and Mark Andrew Harrison, Jennifer Annette Noble and Jason Thomas Bennett and Alida "D.D." Brown; a son, Jesse Brown; grandchildren, Megan, Kyle, Seth, Christopher, Amon, David, Mary, Jonas, Ethan and Taylor; a sister, Cookie Lamkin; brothers, Ray and Keith Noble; stepbrothers, Johnny, Jerry, Donny and Bobby Williamson; and numerous family and loving friends. Pallbearers will be Mark Legrange, Tommy Kilgore, Damuth Addison, William Vallotton, Timothy "Chico" Wyatt and Richard Vallotton. Honorary pallbearers are Sonny Westbrook, Mickey Creel, Chris Rainey and Shawn Whitfield. He was preceded in death by his father, William Merlin Noble. He was a member of Christian Fellowship Centre in Walker and the United Steel Workers Union. He was an original participant in the construction of the Moving Wall of Veterans of Vietnam of Louisiana and was an avid Civil War historian. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's Hospice.
