Mary Burris Burrus Davis was born in White Hall Illinois. Her parents were Jefferson and Nancy (Long) Burris Ray. In The story told to the family is she was an Indian Chief's daughter and an Indian Princess. She married John Davis in White Hall, Illinois. Around 1900 they moved to the St. Louis Area. Per the 1910 census she had 14 children, 12 of whom were living. I have linked all the children here.
