She was the daughter of Benjamin Archie Albertson Sr. and Hannah Hohn. She also was a twin to Alice Rosetta.

She married John Elias Mitchell on October 29, 1898 in Clinton County, Missouri.

Everyone called her "Ma". Her last words were "Just look at those beautiful orchids!" Everyone knew where "Ma" was!
