Eula Ruth Roberts married L.P. Souther on 6 December 1896 at Pleasant Valley, in Wise County, Texas. After their marriage, they lived at Bridgeport for 27 years before moving to the Loving community in 1922. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Souther was a long-time member of the Salem Methodist Church and active in church work many years. Services were held at Salem Methodist Church.
Survived by seven sons - H.I., O.B., Roy, M.E., Herman, Donald and A.T. Souther; one daughter - Miss Della Souther; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
