Mrs. Poe was born August 24, 1897 in Farmington, Missouri to the late William "Wid" and Malinda Caroline (Jones) Robinson and was raised in Canalou, MO. She lived most of her life in Charleston prior to moving to Cape Girardeau in 1988. She was a resident of the Ratliff Care Center and was of Pentecostal Faith. She was a member of the Super Centenarians, and until her death, was the oldest living person in the state of Missouri.
On February 28, 1917 she married Lester H. Poe who preceded her in death on October 4, 1957.
She is survived by three daughters, Evelyn Delbridge of Breese, IL, Iris Vivian "Tod" Jackson of Cape Girardeau, and Marilyn "Peggy" Laird of Valparaiso, IN, 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great-grandchild.
One daughter, Wanda Fitzpatrick, 2 grandsons, 4 brothers and 4 sisters preceded her in death.
