Mrs. Isabelle S. Barrett, 86, of 24 Deerhaven Drive, widow of Arthur L. Barrett, Sr., died Monday in Warwick, NY while visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carlton F. Evans.
Born in Waterford, VT April 24, 1893, Mrs. Barrett was the daughter of the late Byron R. and Nellie (Curtis) Smith. A resident of Nashua since 1927, she had been a saleperson at the former Speare's Dry Goods Store.
A former president of the Nashua YMCA Auxiliary, Mrs. Barrett also held membership in the Nashaway Women's Club and the American Association of Retired Persons. She was a 50 year member of the First Church (Congregational) U.C.C of Nashua.
Members of her family include two daughters, Mrs. George P. (Marjorie) Moore, of Charleston, Maine, and Mrs. Carlton F. (Janice) Evans of Warwick, NY, a son Arthur L. Barrett, Jr. of Nashua; 10 grandchildren, Walter F. Evans II, Craig C. Evans, Miss Sara C. Evans, Miss Nancy L. Evans, Richard B. Moore, Mrs. Edwin C. (Susan) White, Mrs. Calvin (Judy) Phillips, John P. Barrett, Steven L. Barrett, and Tracy J. Barrett, and six great-grand children.
The Davis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
