Paul H. Leach, 85, of Parkersburg, WV died Thursday February 14, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Parkersburg, WV a son of the late Michael H. and Daisey (Boley) Leach.
He graduated from Parkersburg High School where he played football for the Big Reds. He worked for B&O Railroad, Dupont Washington Works, Operating, Engineers, and retired from the Department of Natural Resources. He atended 19th Street Church of God, Beecchwood Presbyterian, and First Presbyterian. He was a United States Army veteran having served in WW II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of American Legion Post 15 and was an avid Big Reds and Mountaineers fan.
He is survived by his son and daugher-in-law Dean P. and Ann Leach of Parkersburg; two granndchildren Amy Beaty (Pat) of Vienna and Matthew Leach of Parkersburg; five great grandchidlren; several nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law John Starr of Charleston; a great niece; and special friends Charlene Ketterman of Deerwalk, WV and F.C. Wenmoth of Vienna.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Helen Leach, two brothers Bob and Frank Leach, and a sister Eva Starr.
Services will be Sunday 4:00 PM at leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Reverend John Koerner officiating. Visitation will be Sunday 1-4 PM. Following the services Mr. Leach will be cremated and his cremated remains inurned at Evergreen Cemetery North.
