A long-time resident of Banff, Mrs. John (Esther Edna) Newfield, 44, of 310 Buffalo St., died last Sunday in the Banff Mineral Springs hospital.
Mrs. Newfield came to Banff as a child from Parry Sound, Ont. and had lived here since.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Alma Josephine and Sylvia Ellen; two sons, Roderick Claude and Frank Allen, all of Banff; three brothers Frank of Jenner, Alta.; Robert of Edmonton, and Albert; sister, Beverly of Vancouver, and a step-mother, Mrs. Hume Peterson of Calgary.
Canon H. Tully Montgomery will conduct the funeral services at 2 p.m. today in St. George's Anglican church, and burial will follow in Banff cemetery under the direction of Banff Funeral Service.
