Charlotte (Puffer) Bishop was the d/o Ira Sr. and Mary (Van Wormer) Puffer. She was raised by her stepmother, Charity (Pangborn) Puffer.She lived most of her childhood in Owego, Tioga Co. NY. She married her husband, Joseph in Wayne Co NY @1842. She had 6 children, 4 sons are known at this time, Solomon, Ezra and Joseph. Ira Bishop died at a young age. She had 12 siblings. Brother, Charles Puffer also lived in Tuscola Co, MI. Brother Solomon lived in Muskegon Co MI., where his son, Hiram started what is known today as Reeths-Puffer School. Charlotte was a direct 2nd cousin to Elizabeth Cady Stanton, the woman who started the Woman's Movement in Seneca Falls, NY. Her husband Joseph died @ 1865 and is buried in Southwick Cemetery, Seneca co. NY. with his Bishop family. Also buried in the Bishop lot is brother Harvey, and his wife Mary Ann (Puffer) Bishop who was an older sister to Charlotte. All siblings were, Rachael Puffer (George) Forsythe of Owego, Tioga co. NY. Clarissa Puffer (Richard) Perkins, Ira John (Caroline Conklin) Puffer Jr., Mary Puffer (Harvey) Bishop, Timothy (Catherine Howe) Puffer, Solomon (1. Clarissa Carolyn Lown 2. Mercy Pease) Puffer, Nancy Puffer (Matthew) Woodcock, Olive Puffer (Ralph) Sloan, Arvilla Puffer (Erastus) Nelson, Roxanne Puffer (James) Wood, Charles (Margaret Livingston) Puffer.
