JOSEPH J. HOFFMAN, DIED SUNDAY AT THE AGE OF 81
Joseph J. Hoffman, 81, a retired furniture plant worker, died at 3:15 a.m. Sunday at the County home near Ireland where he had resided for about three years. Mr. Hoffman, a native of Louisville, retired at the age of 65 as an employee of the Jasper Turning Company. Surviving are three sons, Joseph L. and George of Louisville and Albert of Jasper: four daughters, Mrs. Frank Soeder and Mrs. Herman Degener of Louisville and Mrs. Catherine Breitweiser and Mrs. Lawrence Bellner, of Jasper: two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Alfers and Miss Amelia Hoffman of Louisville: 25 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. His wife, the former Catherine Schnell, died in April 1954. Friends may pay respects at the Becher and Son Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Family Church, followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery.
