He was born in Richland County on May 10, 1874, and had lived here all of his life, the past fifty years on the same farm.
He is survived by his wife. Hattie, two daughters, Mrs. Walton W. Rose (Anna) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Mrs. Walter A. Treece (Clara) of Cincinnati, Ohio, and six grandchildren. Also a brother, Max A. Balmer of Chicago and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Carrick of Spokane, Washington.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of the Schaub Funeral Home, with Rev. R. E. Dowden in charge. Interment will be in Haven Hill cemetery.
