Wilbur was born and raised on the Fix Ridge, attending grade school in Juliaetta was not accredited at this time, he decided to further his education st the Lewiston Buisiness College, where he graduated and then went to work as manager of the Piggly Wiggly store in Clarkston. A year later, in 1928, he moved to Kendrick and started a grocery store for Morgan Brothers, where he worked for a year. Returning to Lewiston he then worked for the Nes Perce Roller Mills.
He was married to Virginia Boyd in Clarkston, Washington in Nov. 25 1926 and they had one son, Oliver Wilbur, born 10 Oct. 1927.
