Ken was born Sept. 4, 1942, on the home farm in the Township of Sherman to Chester and Mae (Harvey) Schlottman.

He attended Clack School and went on to graduate in 1955. Ken and his brother and mother continued running the family farm. Ken married Judy Luken Oct. 4, 1969, in Pittsville. To this union three children were born: Susan, Jason and Vicky. Ken was very proud of them and their accomplishments.

In his early years, he supplemented the income by working at Sanna Dairies and driving milk truck. He started by hauling milk cans and later driving bulk truck. He was a hard worker and would not be seen sitting around if there was work to be done. Over the years, he and his brother expanded and built up a very successful dairy farm. After selling the cows in 1997, he took on a job with the Boyceville School district driving bus, which he loved very much. Unfortunately he had to give that up after a few years because of his failing health due to Parkinson's.

He adored his grandchildren. When they would visit Grandpa, he made sure they received some sort of treat whether it was ice cream, cookies or candy. Ken loved to travel and, over the years, Ken and Judy traveled through the U.S. including Hawaii. His favorite trip was a 16-day Panama Canal cruise. When the children were younger he enjoyed taking family trips to show them other parts of the country.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Doris Dunn; brothers and sister-in-law, Charles Dunn, Ralph Williams and Johanna Schlottman.
