Cloverport, Breckinridge, Kentucky Obituary
Mrs. Jess Carver 80, Cloverport, died at St. Joseph Infirmary, Louisville March 28. She had been a patient there for the past three weeks after suffering a broken hip. Death was due to complications.
She was born October 3, 1877 in Larue County and was the daughter of Henry G. and Mary Ann Yates. She was a faithful member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church until ill health forced her retirement of active service.
Surviving are four sons, Jerry, Leon and Herbert Carver, all of Cloverport; Ray Carver of Hardinsburg; one daughter, Mrs. Russell McCoy of Bell Garden, California, two sons Gordon Conrad of Muscatine, Iowa; Elmer Conrad, Gary, Indiana, and one daughter, Mrs. Corine Mix of Wilkinson, Indiana, sons and daughters of a previous marriage, thirty grandchildren and forty-six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Pilgrim Holiness Church at 2 P.M. with Reverend D.D. Fortner a former pastor officiating, assisted by Reverend L.S. Houston. Pallbearers were Jarrett Kinder, Dan Burke, A.J. Harrington, David Allen, Dale Brown and Kincheloe Corley. Interment in Cloverport Cemetery with Dhonau Funeral Home in charge.
