Boyds, July 23— Frederick A. Dawson died last night at his residence, near Dawsonville, on his seventy-fourth birthday. He is survived by four sisters. Mr. Dawson was one of the best known citizens of the county, and in late years was high in the councils of the Democratic party in the county. The town of Dawsonville was founded by and named for his father.

FREDERICK A. DAWSON
Mr. Frederick A. Dawson, of near Dawsonville, one of the most prominent residents of Mongtomery county, died Monday night on his seventy fourth birthday. He was a son of Dr. Benoni Dawson, who founded Dawsonville. Mr. Frederick Dawson was educated in the public schools of Montgfomery county..
He followed surveying for years, and every line of every prominent farm for miles around was better known by Mr. Dawson than by the men who owned it. He had settled many disputes by arbitration. His own farm is one of the best in the county. He is survived by four sisters - Mrs. Thomas Darby, Mrs. Emily Allnutt and Misses Susan and Adelaide Dawson - with whom he lived all his life.
