Gladys O. Howell, age 90, of Richmond, formerly of Amherst, died March 20, 2010.
She was the daughter of Joseph and Mamie (Williams) O'Brien who predeceased her.
She is survived by three children, Elizabeth Royall (Paul Pitts), Herman D. Howell (Jean), and Judy Hairfield (Ron); seven grandchildren, Scott Howell David Howell, Bonnie Howell, Kathy Royall, Kim Branch, Jennifer Patterson and Ronnie Hairfield; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Her remains rest at Bliley's - Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road, where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, and where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday. Interment Dale Memorial Park.
