Simeon Harvey Maddox, 88, of 2470 Parkwood Drive died Friday. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Joel and Deborah Jones Maddox. He was a retired plumber and a member of the Woodmen of the World. He was a deacon of Harrison Road Baptist Church, a member of the Fisher Bible Class, a former director of the R.A.'s and a director of the Brotherhood.
Surviving are a daughter, Miss Erona Maddox of Columbia; and a brother, Alonzo Maddox of Columbia.
Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Harrison Road Baptist Church, with burial in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be at 2:30 p.m. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Talbert-Shives Funeral Home.
