BULL GORES MAN TO DEATH
Claude B. Arisman, about 50, employee of the Broughton Lumber Company at Hood, was gored to death and mangled beyond recognition early Sunday by his 3 –year –old Guernsey bull in Arisman's pasture.
Worried by his absence, Mrs. Arisman investigated. Finding his battered hat and a broken pitchfork, she called Cecil Jacox, a neighbor, who found the body, with the bull, showing evidence of a recent battle, standing guard 200 feet away.
John Lauterbach of White Salmon shot the beast.
The funeral was held Tuesday at the Gardner Chapel. Rev. Rominger of Underwood officiated, and the remains were laid to rest in the Underwood cemetery.
The Enterprise, May 8, 1936.
