Perry was born in Jamestown NY and baptized at St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. He was a graduate of the University of Buffalo and the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. In 1991, Perry married the love of his life, Sarann.
He is survived by his wife Sarann (Landy) Verleni, his sons, Frank, Nicholas and PJ. His father, and his mother, who called Perry "Hule" preceded him in death.
Perry was loved much by his in laws: like a son by Ann Restivo (Naples, FL), like a brother by Fred and Michelle Landy (Destin, FL), Karen Landy, (North Palm Beach, FL), Marcia and Jay Stoddard (Jamestown, NY). Other survivors include two sisters Mary Ann Mirras (Geneva NY) and Catherine Calamunci (Lakeland FL); several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dr. Verleni was a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the Florida Podiatric Medical Association and the Hillsborough County Podiatric Association Chapter. He was very proud of his Albanian heritage.
In recent years, his family's passion and enjoyment was around Sickles High where his sons excelled in the classroom and on the football field'. It is for those reasons, that the family would prefer (in lieu of flowers) donations to SOBO -Sickles High School Omnibus Booster Organization, Inc., c/o Pat O'Brien 7950 Gunn Hwy, Tampa, Fl 33626-1017 .
