Adelle S. Mansholt, 92, of Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Greenville died April 27 at 7:35 a.m. at the nursing home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Greenville with the Rev. Ken Bryant officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Auburn cemetery, Greenville.
Visitation will be Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of the service.
The Young Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Mansholt was born August 11, 1910 in Bond county, the daughter of William J. and Anna (Oechsner) Sieck. On December 24, 1933 she married Edward J. Mansholt in Hookdale. He preceded her in death August 10, 1973.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, William and Oliver Sieck and two sisters, Bertha Boldt and Wilhelmina Kersey preceded her in death.
Mrs. Mansholt grew up in the Hookdale area. She graduated from Greenville High School in 1927. She and her husband had operated the Beaumont Grocery Store, the Greenville IGA Store and Greenville Printing and Supply. She had also worked at Watson's Drug Store and had been a secretary to Attorney Robert Smith in Greenville. She had been active with fundraising for the Heart Fund and also had served as secretary of the Bond County Fair Association. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Utlaut Hospital Auxiliary and the Greenville First Presbyterian Church.
The First Presbyterian Church has been named as a memorial.
