William Mitchell, aged 67 years, died Saturday afternoon at his home in Dover Township, after a six months illness of mitral insufficiency. He had been confined to his bed for several weeks, and death came as a welcome visitor.
Mr. Mitchell had been engaged in farming for a number of years, but retired some time ago and moved to New Dover.
He is survived by a widow, four sons and a daughter, Ira, Fred and William Mitchell of New Dover, and "Hick" Mitchell of Marysville. The daughter is married and lives in Dayton.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two o'clock in the M.E. Chruch at New Dover, conducted by Rev. Mr. Dickson of Ostrander. Interment was made in Mt. Herman cemetery, north of New Dover.
