Lempi Store was born in Ironwood, MI to Fred Store and Mary Ervastti. Living in Mass City, MI, she was married 11 Dec. 1921 to Oscar Wertanen, also of Mass. At the time she was a school teacher. They had three boys: Leon, Marvin F. (19 DEC 1923-10 FEB 1998, Martinez, CA), and Carl. Oscar was the postmaster of Mass City in the 1920's, and when he fell ill Lempi took over the job and continued with it when he died in 1930.
On 7 Oct. 1941 she married Julius Wiikman of Greenland, Mi., and they resided in Mass City, across the street from the post office, until her death in 1963.
