Services For Levi Daniels Wednesday
Levi Daniels, 66 of near Hookdale died at his home at 1 a.m. Sunday. He had been in failing health for sometime.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dewey and Son Chapel with Rev. Alvin Knicker of Hookdale officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Auburn cemetery. Visitation is after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Born January 10, 1904 in Fayette county, the son of Joseph and Mary Ann (Lewis) Daniels he was aged 66 years, 5 months and 11 days. On January 5, 1925 he married Lillie Ennen in Vandalia. She survives.
Also surviving are 3 sons, Earl of Pana, Walter of Denver, Colorado and Joe of Grantfork; 4 daughters, Mrs. W.F. (Maxine) Willeford of Greenville, Mrs. Tim (Melba) Ulmet of Greenville, Mrs. Clarence (Shirley) Olive of Sorento and Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Ruch of Travis Air Force Base, California; 2 sisters, Dora Hocking of Shobonier and Mrs. Everett (Cora) Cox of Pleasant Mound and one half sister, Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) Chandler of Vandalia and 17 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son Lee, sister, Minnie Collier and 3 brothers, Howard, Hilliard and one in infancy.
