Mrs. Harriet Ames, eighty, 346 E. Chestnut St., widow of Isaac M. Ames, died at 7:20 p.m. yesterday in St. Joseph's hospital after an illness of three weeks. She was born in East Earl township, the daughter of the late Christian and Mary Leaman Uhlrich and had been a resident of this city for the past seventeen years. She was a member of the Reformed Church, New Holland. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Mabel Huber and Edna, wife of James Guie, both of Strasburg, and Harry and Mary, wife of J. Harry Lightner, both of this city. Eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters also survive: Harry, John and Mrs. Annie Esbenshade, all of Strasburg; Clayton and Joseph, Decatur, Ill.; Amos, Utah; and Mrs. Catherine Wagy, Los Angeles, Calif.
