Lester L. ‘Junior’ Abernathy, age 83, died at the Oklahoma VA Center in Talihina Le Flore County, Oklahoma. He was born to Lester L. Abernath, Sr. and Verna Karnes Abernathy. He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper in World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bob Abernathy. Survived by 3 brothers, Jack Abernathy, Jim Abernathy and Gene Abernathy, all of Quapaw Oklahoma; and 3 sisters, Marie Bennett of Joplin Missouri, Joyce Fender of Tulsa Oklahoma and Dorotha Wheelin of St. Louis Missouri.
