Funeral services for Mrs H. L. Goerner, 50 years old, wife of H. L. Goerner, superintendent of Dallas County Schools, who died Tuesday at her home, 320 South Ewing Avenue, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Lamar & Smith undertaking establishment. Dr. Wallace Bassett, pastor of Cliff Temple Baptist Church, of which she was an active member, officiated. Burial was in Oak Cliff Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Misses Virginia Lewes and Anna Esta, and four sons, Cornell, Billie, Fred, and Frank Goerner. She had been a resident of Dallas about sixteen years.
