Flossie Joyce (Bolles) Wheat of Moore was born on January 9, 1923 in Maysville, Oklahoma to Samuel Dewey Bolles and Lela Lillian (Alston) Bolles. She passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in Oklahoma City at the age of 92 years.

Joyce graduated from Maysville High School in 1941, then attended Central State College in Edmond and obtained her master's degree in General Studies from Central Texas College in Killeen, Texas. She was the first teacher for job corp in Guthrie in 1966, and taught Jr./Sr. High Social Studies in Laferia, Texas. Joyce also taught at Copperas Cove, Texas, and on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Leupp, Arizona, and at Joseph Harp Correctional Facility in Lexington, OK. She was a Worthy Matron in Eastern Star and a member of Rebeccas. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Joyce loved music and dancing the two-step. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Her survivors include her sons: Samuel Dewey Jarvis and wife Sara of Ft. Gibson and
William Paul Jarvis of Moore.
A daughter, Sharon Kaye Osborn of Oklahoma City.
Brothers: Paul Bolles of Norman; Sam Bolles of Tulsa; and Harold Bolles of Marietta.
Sisters: Juanita Whary of Copperas Cove, Texas and Betty Sue Rich of Dallas, Texas.
Grandchildren: Joyce Burch and husband Bryan of Oklahoma City; Steve Osborn and wife Jennifer of Newcastle; Scott Jarvis and wife Tonya of Skiatook; and Matthew Jarvis and wife Lindsey of Tulsa.
Great Grandchildren: Shelbi Osborn, Collin Burch, Graci Osborn, Vivienne Burch, Kimery Jarvis, and Caitlin Ray.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Wheat in 1998; sisters, Ruth Clark and Ruby Purser; brothers, William Glen Bolles and Jim Bolles.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, March 30, 2015 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville with Rev. Jim Beckett officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
