At the age of 11, she may have been living in Colorado for a time. Her father had TB and spent some time in a sanitarium in Woodman, Colorado. Later, it appears that the whole family was living in Ft. Collin, Colorado. A letter written to Andy and Lottie was sent to that location.
At one point in her life, she was living in a home in Effingham, Illinois as well.
When she was 17, she married Lester Ora Towles...the father of her 7 children.
